Merry Christmas, from the doujinshi account XD
So I believe I've had this iPad Pro (2021 M1) since the very end of June. It hasn't even been a year yet, and I've done almost 400 pages of STUFF on it. Yesterday, I finally noticed that the "paperlike" screen protector I use (an offbrand of the expensive ones) has essentially worn off all the texture... but it still works as a protector fine enough, and I feel that I don't need that "paperlike" resistance anymore. I can still feel some of the texture at the corners where I don't run my hands and pencil over all the time.
Device itself is still working fine. I'm quite anti-Apple in most ways because of how expensive all their proprietary junk is, but I will definitely attest that a majority of their products are great quality. I can't say the same for their laptops, as they LITERALLY don't make them as well as they used to in the older days lol... but at work I've been using an ancient 2013 laptop because I can't be bothered to upgrade to one of the newer ones which I constantly hear are riddled with weird quirks, none that I have to deal with on my oldie laptop which is stilllll running fine after almost a decade. Back to the iPad... well... the pencil? I'm pretty determined to finish Seesaw on this single original nib that it came with... even though I have 4 replacement nibs I bought when I was setting everything up. I also have a Procreate keyboard accessory I mildly regret getting ($46) because after a few sessions, I decided it wasn't REALLY saving me time as I became more accustomed to the tap gestures (...yes I double and triple figure gesture all the time for undo/redo lalalaaaaa). Other functions such as switching from pencil/eraser, I prefer just going to the app's top bar to do that still. I suppose some things like that could be better optimized with the keyboard, but then that means remembering to charge the keyboard since it runs on battery. Also, it means lugging around an extra device with my already huge pile of devices I carry around when I'm on the go aksdhfkjdhfgjhfkb, complications. xd; If I do need to upgrade some year down the line, still not sure if I'd consider going the larger screen (12.9 inch) versus the 11 inch I have. At first, I kind of regretted not getting the larger screen... but now I'm used to the 11 inch size?? I guess I'd be flexible with it anyway, and get used to a larger 12.9 inch, appreciate more space it gives... but that shouldn't be anytime soon. Anyway, having fun!!! XD; Has definitely been worth the investment overall. We'll see how things progress. It'll feel lonely if I don't use the iPad nearly as much after I finally finish Seesaw... so.......... hmmmmmmmmmmm
